Who qualifies to participate?

 

The Chamber's Incubator Advisory Committee (IAC) will screen and review each client requesting admission to the program. A successful candidate must meet a majority of these qualifiers:

  • Be a new or early stage business (less than 3 years) with a valid business license
  • Have a formal business and marketing plan
  • Be privately held
  • Have adequate working capital to enter into a six-month lease
  • Have the potential to produce jobs in the local area upon graduation
  • Have the potential to produce significant revenues in 4 to 6 year
  • Have an intent to stay in the New Castle County business community upon graduation  
  • Be a current member or become a member to the County Chamber

 

How to apply?

For eligible candidates wishing to enter the Emerging Enterprise Center program the application process includes the following steps:

  • Submission of completed EEC application form and Business and/or Technology Feasibility Plan - one hard copy and an electronic version
  • Initial screening with EEC staff
  • Review of the application and supplemental documents by the Incubator Advisory Committee
