The Economic Development Council partners with the New Castle County Government for the Blueprint for Growth workshop series. The program reveals county initiatives on issues impacting economic development. Traditional areas covered in the series are land use and infrastructure, in 2007 program events featured the following topics:

• discussion of the update of the county comprehensive development plan
• sewer capacity
• smart growth
• BRAC opportunities for New Castle County in light of the opening of the Aberdeen Proving Ground.
