New
Castle County is the northernmost county in the State of Delaware,
home to 525,587 people (2006, Census Bureau est.). The county
economy has a diverse character formed on the road from the arrival
of the first Swedish settlers in the 1600s to its development
as innovation center for bioengineering, chemistry and technology
industries today.
Partnership
between government and business has a good tradition, as favorable
incorporation policies on the state level have made New Castle
County the headquarters of multinational corporations across different
